Ode to Football

One day on the football field,

Is all it took to notice.

One feel of a football in my hands

Decided me.

 

I want to be a football.

I want to be pigskin.

Flying through the air

Never felt so good.

Let me be a football,

I’ll make all the kids happy,

Cause they will always be able to catch me,

I’ll make sure of it.

Yes, I’ll risk being thrown, kicked, or dropped.
